KIIT students win Smart India Hackathon-2019

Surjit kumar Dhal, Bhubaneswar, March 7: Two teams of KIIT students have won Smart India Hackathon 2019, the national level digital competition organized by MHRD, AICTE & i4c.

One Team ‘Gradiants’ won the Hackathon by creating an innovative model of monitoring the movement of people in cities.

The team comprised of Subham Kumar Das (Team leader), Saurav Pattanaik, Samarendrea Chandan Bindu Dash, Siddartha Mohapatra, Sweta Pati and Sailesh Dwivedy.

They won the Hackathon held at CV Raman Engineering College, Bhubaneswar, bagging Rs. 75,000 cash award and certificates to all team members.

Another team ‘Phoenix Tech’,  comprising of Shubham Kumar Sahu (Team Leader), Raj Babu Das, Ekta Prakash, Smriti Ojha, Subhashri Das and Srijani Basu, won the Hackathon held at Satyabhama Deemed to be University, Chennai.

Their project was on complaint registration portal for laborers.

Team ‘Phoenix Tech’ won Rs. 1,00,00 cash award and certificates to all team members.

All students are from KIIT School of Computer Engineering.

                Expressing happiness over the achievement of the students, Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated all the team members and wished them all successes in their future endeavours in innovation and entrepreneurship.
