Kidnapped Sonepur Boy Rescued in Puri

Sonepur: A minor boy, who was kidnapped from Sonepur was rescued in Puri of Odisha. The kidnappers had demanded Rs 20 lakh to release the boy, but Police busted the case and rescued the boy safely in Puri.

As per reports, on the evening of Sunday, the son of Shraddhakar Naik of Patabhadi in Subarnapur district went missing while playing. Even after a long search, the boy was not found.

Later that night, the kidnappers called Shraddhakar on WhatsApp and demanded Rs 20 lakh to release the boy. The kidnappers also threatened that the situation would worsen if he informed the police.

The kidnapper demanded Rs 20 lakh and asked that the money should be sent to them by 11 am on Monday.

Meanwhile, the father of the child reported the matter at Sonepur police station. After the complaint, Sonepur police formed a special team on the instructions of the SP and started an investigation.

Later, late at night, the minor boy was rescued from Puri. However, the kidnappers managed to flee from the scene, fearing to be caught.
