Kendrapada Police Rescue 38 Missing Women and Girls Under Operation Anweshan-II

Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough, Kendrapada Police rescued 38 missing women and girls, including 22 minors, during a three-day operation conducted from January 21 to January 23, 2026, under Operation Anweshan-II.
The state-wide initiative, led by the Crime Against Women & Children (CAW&C) Wing of Odisha Police, aims to trace missing women and children and reunite them with their families through coordinated search operations across both rural and urban areas.
In Kendrapada district, police rescued one minor girl from the Kendrapada Town Police Station area, one from Kudanagari, and another from the Tantiapal Marine Police Station limits. A significant number—14 minor girls—were traced from Pattamundai Model and Pattamundai Rural Police Station areas. Additionally, three minor girls were rescued from the Aul Police Station area and two from Rajanagar Police Station area, taking the total number of rescued minors to 22.
Alongside the minors, police also recovered 16 women from various locations across the district during the operation.
Officials said the rescued women and girls are being provided necessary care and assistance, and steps are underway to reunite them with their families as per standard procedures. The Odisha Police reiterated its commitment to intensifying efforts to trace missing persons and ensure their safety.
