Junior teachers stage protest in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The junior teachers have taken to the roads over a two-point demand. Thousands of junior teachers have staged a protest in the lower PMG square in Bhubaneswar.

The junior teachers those who were selected in the financial year 2023-24 have not been regularised yet. The junior teachers have staged their protests over their demand for regularisation in the jobs.

Similarly, they have also demanded the appointments of teachers for the newly launched Bal Vatikas in Odisha.

As a part of the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) Bal Vatikas were started in Odisha.

Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) a key component of NEP will focus on building and strengthening the foundational level students. For FLN, Godabarish Adarsh Primary schools will be opened in every Gram Panchayat said the Odisha government.
