Jogesh Singh resigns from Assembly

Surjit kumar Dhal, Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: A day after his suspension, Congress leader Jogesh Singh, who had resigned from the primary membership of the party on January 18, quit his Assembly seat on Tuesday.
He submitted his resignation as Congress MLA to the Speaker Pradip Kumar Amat at his State Assembly chamber.
The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) had suspended Singh for praising BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during a party programme at Kinjijrikela in Sundargarh district on January 15.
