Jharsuguda boils at 46.2°C

Bhubaneswar: A day after reporting 45.4 degree Celsius temperature, Jharsuguda recorded season’s yet another highest temperature in Odisha as it boiled at 46.2°C on Tuesday.
This is the highest ever temperature Jharsuguda reported in the month of April since 1953. According to reports, the city had recorded the highest temperature of 46.1°C on April 19 in 2010.
Apart from Jharsuguda, 14 other places witnessed temperature above 40 degree Celsius today, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Likewise, the residents of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack witnessed a temperature of 36.7 and 36.8 degree Celsius respectively.
The weather department predicted that severe heat wave, heat wave, hot and humid and warm night very likely over the districts of Odisha during 22nd to 26th April 2025.
