Jajpur Police Launches ‘E-Mitra’ Chatbot to Boost Citizen Services

Jajpur: In a step towards modernising public service delivery, Jajpur Police on Tuesday launched its official chatbot, “E-Mitra,” aimed at enhancing citizen-centric policing through digital innovation.
The chatbot is designed as an interactive platform that will provide round-the-clock assistance to citizens through a simple and user-friendly interface. With this initiative, residents can now access various police services without the need to visit a police station physically.

E-Mitra offers a wide range of features, including online complaint registration, real-time tracking of complaint status, and an easy system to report stolen mobile phones. Citizens can also access updated traffic guidelines, safety advisories, and emergency contact numbers through the platform.
Additionally, the chatbot allows users to apply for event permissions online, seek tourist assistance, locate nearby police stations, and share feedback to improve service delivery.

Officials said the initiative aims to bridge the gap between the police and the public by ensuring faster response, improved transparency, and better communication. The move reflects Jajpur Police’s focus on adopting technology-driven solutions to make policing more efficient and accessible.
Citizens have been encouraged to actively use the E-Mitra chatbot and benefit from its comprehensive services.
