Jagannath Temple to Remain Closed for Public Darshan for Three Hours Today

Bhubaneswar: Public darshan at the Jagannath Temple in Puri will remain suspended for three hours today due to the performance of the Diba Pahuda ritual of the Holy Deities.

According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), the temple will be closed to devotees from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The temporary closure will begin after the completion of the Second Bhog Mandap offering.

In an official post on its X handle, the SJTA stated that the Diba Pahuda ritual will be observed on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, on the occasion of Pausha Krushna Trayodashi tithi, necessitating the suspension of public darshan during the specified hours.

Devotees have been advised to plan their visit accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
