Jagannath Pradhan Gets Bail

Bhubaneswar: In the much talked about case of the assault of the BMC OAS officer, Jagannath Pradhan has been granted bail said reliable reports on Wednesday.

According to reports notably, the Commissionerate police arrested Jagannath Pradhan after he surrendered himself before the Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena’s office.

In the bail hearing case of Jagannath Pradhan in the court of the District Judge, Pradhan was granted bail. It is worth mentioning here that the bail was granted in lieu of a Rs 30,000 bond and one person as surety.

The OAS Association had launched a state-wide casework agitation demanding the arrest of Pradhan for his alleged link in the attack on Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahoo.

The Association even had submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi via Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja seeking the BJP leader’s arrest.

The Odisha Administrative Services (OAS) Association withdrew its casework protest soon after the arrest of senior BJP Leader Jagannath Pradhan on July 3, 2025.
