IPS Umashankar, The New DCP of Temple City

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): Umashankar Dash, a 2008 batch IPS is the new Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Capital City Bhubaneswar. As his records as SPs of various districts like Jarsuguda, Bargarh, Rourkela and Puri he will bring down the organised offences in the city and to help the people to combat Coronavirus.

Bhubaneswar always needs a dynamic cop to control the crime and Umashankar has the capability to do alike. His work during the FANI tragedy and the challenging 2020 Ratha Jatra in between Corona scare was really appreciable.  It is remarkable that, under his leadership the 2020 Ratha Jatra was well arranged within twelve hours after the green signal from the top court. This Ratha Jatra was observed with a curfew in Puri which was also a devoteeless.
