Indian Women Win Four Golds at World Boxing Cup Finals

Greater Noida: Indian women’s boxers delivered a dominant performance at the World Boxing Cup Finals 2025, clinching four gold medals at the Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex on Thursday.
India’s medal rush began with Minakshi Hooda, who outclassed Fozilova Farzona 5-0 in the women’s 48 kg final. An elated Minakshi thanked her coach Vijay Hooda, ITBP, SAI, OGQ and BFI for their constant support. She said the roaring home crowd boosted her morale and helped her secure the decisive victory.

Preeti continued the winning streak by defeating Italy’s Sirine Charaabi 5-0 in the women’s 54 kg category. Arundhati Choudhary added India’s third gold of the day with a strong 5-0 win over Uzbekistan’s Zokirova Aziza in the 70 kg final.
Nupur capped India’s golden run by overpowering Uzbekistan’s Sotimboeva Oltinoy 5-0 in the women’s 80+ kg final, securing the fourth gold medal for the country.
However, Jadumani fell short in the women’s 50 kg final, losing to Uzbekistan’s Asilbek Jalilov and settling for a silver medal.
This year’s tournament saw an impressive 15 Indian boxers reach the finals — the highest among all participating nations in this elite, eight-contender event. Top names like Nikhat Zareen, Jaismine, Parveen, Pooja, and Sachin were scheduled to compete later in the day.
