The outcome helped India finish top of Group A, having won all their three group stage matches. The Men In Blue have now set a semi-final date with Australia, which will be played on March 4 at the same venue. Varun Chakaravarthy, playing his first match of the tournament, emerged as the standout player from the Indian camp. The mystery spinner claimed five wickets as India bundled out New Zealand for 205 in 45.3 overs after piling 249/9 on the board.
