Income Tax raid on Indrani Patnaik Mines

Rourkela, Jan 11: The Income Tax department on Friday conducted sixteen raids on the residence and offices related to Indrani Patnaik Mines in Rourkela and different parts in the state. However, the exact reason behind the raid is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, the income tax officials are conducting simultaneous searches in  several parts of the State including the owner of the mines company and industrialist, Indrani Patnaik and her husband Dipti Ranjan Patnaik’s residence and offices in Rourkela.

Since the past few years, Dipti Ranjan Patnaik is the highest taxpayer in Odisha.Sources said, an 18-member team of income tax department are conducting raids at Indrani and her husband’s residence and offices since the morning.
