Bhadrak/ Balasore: Normal life has been disrupted due to incessant rain in Bhadrak of Odisha. Incessant rain leaves several areas waterlogged in Balasore.

In Bhadrak, two feet high water is flowing on the roads. As a result, movement of vehicles on the road has been hugely affected. More than that water from drains has entered houses that has raised woo to the households.

In some places, people are using pumps to drain water from their houses. Waterlogging is especially prevalent in the RD Chowk area, behind the Treasury Office, Dharitri Nagar and Mahatab Nagar areas.

Meanwhile, a youth has gone missing after being swept away in the Sankhua River. The missing youth has been identified as Ramesh Das. Fire brigade has reached the spot and is carrying out search operation to trace out the missing youth.

On the other hand Balasore is in a state of chaos due to heavy rains. Artificial flood has been created in the city. Roads and medical premises are filled with water. A mango tree fell on the road connecting the hospital to Jail Road due to rain last night, obstructing traffic.

The City Clinic chowk road is also submerged. Similarly, the Congress street was submerged due to the rain. Another low pressure area is likely to form, which is causing rain. The rain will continue till the morning of the 5th September.
