IMD Issues Yellow Warning for Thunderstorms in 10 Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a yellow warning for ten districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning or light rain within the next three hours.

The regional weather office issued the nowcast warning at 8:30 am. The districts likely to be affected include Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore.

Residents in these areas have been advised to closely monitor weather conditions and seek shelter during thunderstorm and lightning activity to avoid any untoward incidents.

Meanwhile, the IMD has also predicted a gradual rise in night temperatures across the state by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next 48 hours.
