IMD issues 3 days of rain warning

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued three days of rain warning in Odisha districts and issued yellow warnings for the same.
The trough from southeast Rajasthan to north Odisha across north Madhya Pradesh & north Chhattisgarh, cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and neighbourhood at 3.1 km above mean sea level has become less marked, said the IMD in its latest bulletin. However, heavy rain and thunderstorm would occur in different districts of the State as mentioned below.
Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM July 12):
- YELLOW WARNING: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Sundargarh and Mayurbhanj.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinhpur, Kendrapara and Cuttack.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM July 12 to 8.30 AM July 13):
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Nawarangpur, Malkangiri, Nuapada and Koraput.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM July 13 to 8.30 AM July 14):
- YELLOW WARNING: Heavy rain and thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinhpur.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
