Illegal hill sand mining busted in Soro, four trucks seized

Soro: A joint raid was conducted at Handia Haat near Sarishua Hill by Khaira and Soro Mining Department against illegal mining and transport of hill soil.

As per reports, during the raid a team discovered sand being excavated and transported without permit.

Acting on specific information sources a team caught many vehicles carrying sand and confiscated four trucks suspected to be transporting illegal mined soil.

Drivers of four trucks were detained for interrogation while mining authorities commenced scrutiny of documents.

The raid is part of ongoing campaign by mining authorities to prevent illegal mining.
