Humane Sagar’s death row: Anubhav Mohanty says truth will emerge

Bhubaneswar: Amid singer Humane Sagar’s death and following legal hassles have sparked controversy, Odia film superstar actor Anubhav Mohanty has said that truth will definitely emerge.

It is to be noted that till now the mystery behind the death of Humane Sagar has not been solved. On 17 November 2025, he died while undergoing treatment.

Later on 21 December, Humane’s mother Shefali Suna filed a complaint at the Markatnagar police station in Cuttack, accusing 9 people, including singers Arpita and Somesh, of being responsible for her son’s death.

After registering a case police started an investigation. After this, Arpita Chaudhary and Somesh Satpathy moved the High Court for anticipatory bail. The High Court granted interim protection to singers Arpita Chaudhary and Somesh Satpathy.

After hearing the anticipatory bail application filed by Arpita and Somesh, the High Court directed the state government to submit the case diary. The court also issued a directive to the Commissionerate Police not to take any action against Arpita and Somesh till the next hearing.

Meanwhile, actor Anubhav Mohanty said that all those guilty of Humane’s death will be caught.

An investigation into the incident is underway on the complaint of Humane’s mother. But what is the reason behind Humane’s death? How did he die? If he was in bad health, was he being treated properly? Why was he doing stage programs even though he was in bad health? Or was there some other reason? That needs to be known. The Chief Minister himself has ordered an impartial investigation so that the truth comes out.
