Honeybees sting pregnant woman and 3-year-old daughter in Rayagada

Rayagada: In a shocking incident, a pregnant woman and her three-year-old girl were stung by honey bees. The incident has been reported from Duladulaguda village in Narayanpur Gram Panchayat under Kalayansinghpur block in Rayagada district.

According to information, the pregnant woman and her 3-year-old daughter were going on the road when they were stung by hundreds of honeybee. Both the woman and her daughter were rescued by the locals and rushed to the Kalyansinghpur Community Health Centre (CHC).

The woman has been identified as Manjula Hisal. After she and her daughter were stung by the honeybees, some locals working in the nearby fields rescued them by driving away the honeybees.

Fortunately, a vehicle of the electricity department was going in the way. The locals took the help of the officials and rushed the mother-daughter duo to the CHC.

They were given first aid at the CHC. However, as their condition worsened, they were rushed to the District headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Rayagada.

In another incident, a family from Golabandha village of Gopalpur were on their way for a marriage reception to Mohana when the incident occurred. The family stopped their car near Chatabari to go to washroom, when they were attacked by honeybees.
