Heavy rain batters Odisha due to double low-pressure

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rains have started to batter in several parts of Odisha as a result of double low pressures in the state.
A low pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal and another low pressure area is forming behind it. Another low pressure area is likely to form tomorrow on September 25. The possible low pressure area may further intensify and take the form of a depression. This may cause heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the state.
By the 26th, it will turn into a depression over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, South Odisha and Andhra coasts. It will cross the south Odisha-north Andhra coasts on the 27th. On the 30th, another low pressure area will form over the northwest Bay of Bengal, adjacent to Odisha. It will move northwards in the sea near the Odisha coast. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for 3 districts today for very heavy rainfall.
