Hardik Pandya Returns as India A Squad Announced

India A will face Australia A in upcoming red-ball and white-ball fixtures, with the BCCI announcing the squads on Wednesday.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been included in the India A squad for the three-match unofficial ODI series, marking his expected return to competitive cricket in October. However, his participation will depend on his match fitness.
For the two unofficial Tests in Puducherry, Devdutt Padikkal has been named captain. The Karnataka left-hander has earned the leadership role after an impressive recent run, including back-to-back centuries during India’s tour of Sri Lanka last month.

Padikkal will also serve as vice-captain of the ODI side, supporting captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. The selections reflect the BCCI’s continued focus on giving young and promising players opportunities at the India A level.
