Hardcore Maoist involved in TDP leaders’ murder held in Koraput

Surjit Kumar Dhal,Koraput, April 27: Police on Saturday arrested a hardcore Maoist of Nandpur Area Committee from Padua area in the district after conducting raids.

The cadre has been identified as Jayaram Khila, a native of Tala Kandapalli under Padua police limits.

Koraput SP Kanwar Vishal Singh said the arrested Maoist was involved in the killing of Sarpanch of Hatibari gram panchayat Jagannath Khara on August 8, 2017.

He is also an accused in the murder of TDP Whip MLA Kidari Sarvewara Rao of Arku Constituency and Ex-MLA Siberi Soma near Livitiputtu village under Dumuriguda police limits in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh on September 23 last year, the SP said.

He said the NIA team has been intimated for necessary action in the above case.
