GST Revenue Jumps 23% to ₹2.31 Lakh Crore in October

India’s gross GST collections rose 23% year-on-year to over ₹2.31 lakh crore in October, supported by strong domestic economic activity and higher import-related tax revenue.

According to provisional government data, GST revenue from domestic sales increased 15.8% to over ₹1.59 lakh crore, while collections from imports surged 42.2% to ₹72,246 crore.

The total collection included ₹42,935 crore in Central GST (CGST), ₹51,340 crore in State GST (SGST) and ₹1,37,015 crore in Integrated GST (IGST).
