Group fight erupts at Rajdhani College

Bhubaneswar: A group fight erupted at Rajdhani College this evening reportedly after a group of student backed by some outsiders, allegedly belonging to a particular political party, clashed with another students group of the college.

If sources are to be believed, over 20 students backed by some outsiders reportedly entered the Rajdhani College campus today and allegedly passed some derogatory comments on the students. Following this, a heated argument erupted between the two groups.

The heated argument soon turned ugly as they attacked each other physically and exchanged blows and kicks. More than 20 individuals were involved in the group clash that left two students critically injured. They were rushed to the Capital Hospital for treatment. Some others also received minor injuries due to the group fight.

In a video of the incident, which has surfaced and is being circulated massively, a shirtless youth can be seen chasing and giving blows to another youth, possibly a student of the college, while a group of people attempting to prevent him.

On being informed, the local police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. They are reportedly collecting footages of the CCTV cameras installed inside the college campus to find out the persons involved in the group fight and reason of the group clash.

This apart, police personnel were deployed and security was tightened on the campus to prevent further escalation of the group clash.
