Govt gives additional charge of I&PR Director to Debaprasad Dash

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has given an additional charge of I&PR Director to senior OAS officer Debaprasad Dash, the Joint secretary of Odia Language Literature & Culture (OLL & C) Department.
In a notification, the General Administration & Public Grievances (GA&PG) Department said, “Pending finalization of the select list on the advice of the Odisha Public Service Commission, Debaprasad Dash, OAS (suppertime scale), Joint secretary to Government, Odia Language Literature & Culture (OLL & C) Department is promoted to the grade of OAS (SAG) notionally w.e f . 14.02.2020 (in Level-16 of the “pay Matrix”) and subsequently to the grade of OAS (special secretary) notionally w.e.i 01 .06.2022, on ad hoc basis, in Level-17 of the “pay Matrix” as specified in the First schedule of the O.R.S.P. Rules, 2017, for a period not exceeding one year or till receipt of recommendation of OPSC or till his retirement, whichever is earlier, without prejudice to the claim of others.”
“On promotion to the grade of OAS (SS), Debaprasad Dash is posted as special secretary to Government, OLL & C Department and he is allowed to remain in additional charge of Director of I & P.R., Odisha, Bhubaneswar. He shall not be entitled to any arrears financial benefits due to his notional promotions,” the department added.
On such notional promotion to the Grade of OAS (SS), the inter-se-seniority of Dash is fixed immediately above Shyamali Mohapatra in the Grade of OAS (SS), it further said adding that this promotion is subject to the final orders of the Hon’ble Apex Court in SLP(C) No.35608-35610 (Gahadu Mirdha-Vs.-state of Odisha and others) and other related cases.
