Fuel Price Comes Down

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): A day after the Central government reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel, price of the fuels dipped in Odisha, today. Petrol was being sold at Rs 104.73 per litre in capital city Bhubaneswar, today. Similarly, the rate was Rs 105.51 in Cuttack.
Petrol prices had crossed Rs 110-mark in all districts of the state, a couple of days ago. The Centre yesterday sweetened Diwali celebrations by announcing that it will slash excise duty rate on both petrol and diesel fuels, thus bringing down retail rates.
The excise duty has been reduced by Rs 5 for petrol and Rs 10 for diesel from November 4. Below are petrol prices (in Rs per litre) for other areas of Odisha, as on November 4, 2021.
