Four Injured After Clash Erupts at Hotel Party in Bhubaneswar, Six Detained

Bhubaneswar: A late-night party at a hotel in Bhubaneswar took a violent turn after an altercation between two groups escalated into a physical clash, leaving four people injured.

According to preliminary information, the dispute reportedly began over a dance performance during the party. What started as a verbal argument quickly intensified into a fight, creating panic among those present at the venue.

Four individuals sustained serious injuries in the incident and were rushed to Capital Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

After receiving information about the clash, a team from Nayapalli Police Station reached the hotel and brought the situation under control. Police detained six persons for questioning and recovered several weapons allegedly used or carried during the confrontation.

During the police action, some of the detained youths allegedly attempted to intimidate officers by claiming they were relatives of a former minister and a senior IPS officer. However, the police proceeded with the investigation without yielding to the alleged pressure.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the violence. Further details are awaited.
