Four Held with 24 Kg Ganja Worth ₹8.5 Lakh in Cuttack

Cuttack: The Excise Intelligence and Enforcement Bureau (E.I. & E.B.) in Kendrapara arrested four persons under the NDPS Act for smuggling ganja, seizing 24 kilograms of the contraband worth around ₹8.5 lakh and a four-wheeler used in the operation.
The accused have been identified as Ganesh Barik (27) of Phulbani Town, Mithun Digal (32) of Balipadara — both from Kandhamal district — and Balaram Mondal (23) and Saadhin Mondal (38) from Murshidabad, West Bengal.

The seizure was made during a raid at Telengapentha Chhaka on National Highway-16 in Cuttack. The operation was led by Inspector of Excise Dhiren Kumar Behera, who headed the enforcement team.
All four accused have been forwarded to court, and further investigation into the smuggling network is underway.
