Four Drug Peddlers Arrested in Bhubaneswar; 20 Grams of Brown Sugar Seized

Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough, Khandagiri police on Monday arrested four drug peddlers and seized 20 grams of brown sugar along with two motorcycles during a raid in the capital city.
The accused have been identified as Arun Patra of Dumuduma, Shakti Narayan Nanda of Gandamunda, Jagannath Sahoo alias Jaga, and Dasharathi Dalai, both residents of Raghunath Nagar.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from Khandagiri Police Station, led by IIC Abhimanyu Das, conducted a raid near the Maa Bhuasuni Temple and Cashew Forest along AIIMS Road. The four accused were intercepted while allegedly dealing in brown sugar.
“All the accused have prior criminal records. Arun Patra and Jagannath Sahoo are involved in earlier NDPS cases, while Dasharathi Dalai has a past robbery conviction. The seized contraband weighs 20 grams, and two motorcycles used in the operation have been confiscated. All four will be forwarded to court today,” said ACP Tapas Ch. Pradhan, Sub-Division III, while addressing the media.
