Former Baliguda MLA Karendra Majhi Passes Away at 52

Baliguda: Former Baliguda MLA Karendra Majhi passed away in a Bhubaneswar hospital at the age of 52 while undergoing treatment. He was the senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and served as the MLA for the Baliguda constituency twice, in 2004 and 2009.

Reportedly, he was suffering from kidney disease and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Taking to his social media account, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed profound grief over the demise. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear about the passing of our party’s senior leader and former Baliguda MLA, Karendra Majhi. His loss is irreparable to us all. I extend my condolences to his bereaved family and pray to Lord Jagannath for the eternal peace of the departed soul.”

Along with CM Majhi, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also shared his condolences on his X account. The CM Majhi, along with State BJP Chief Manmohan Samal, visited Capital Hospital to pay his last respects and offer tributes to the late leader.
