Fire Mishap in Sambalpur: 1 Killed, 1 Critical

Sambalpur: In a major fire mishap, a woman died and her daughter suffered burn injuries in the Hatapada area under Maneswar of Sambalpur district on Tuesday night.

The deceased woman is identified as Snehalata Dikshit and her daughter is identified as Sairendri Dikshit. According to sources, Snehalata was sleeping when the major fire mishap occurred. As Sairendri was awake she could save herself but sustained burnt injuries.

The fire brigade brought the fire under control. The fire broke out on the upper floor of a two-storeyed building. Police recovered the body after reaching the spot. However, the cause of the fire break out is yet to be ascertained.  A scientific team reached this morning and collected samples for further investigation.
