Fire Breaks Out in Apartment Lift in Bhubaneswar, Two Rescued

Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped residents of Shree Vihar in Chandrasekharpur after a fire broke out inside the lift of an apartment building on Thursday. Two persons trapped inside the smoke-filled lift were safely rescued by emergency responders.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred at Badshah Apartment, where a suspected short circuit triggered the fire inside the lift. Thick smoke quickly engulfed the confined space, leaving the occupants stranded and in distress.

On receiving information, fire services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a swift rescue operation. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and safely evacuate both individuals from the lift.

No casualties have been reported so far, though the condition of the rescued persons is yet to be officially confirmed.
