Festivals are moments of faith and harmony: DIG Satyajit Naik

DIG Central Range Shri Satyajit Naik, IPS today visited Kendrapara to review the police arrangements made for the Gajalaxmi Puja celebrations.
During his visit, the DIG conducted foot patrolling across key areas of the town and carried out spot briefing of all police personnel deployed at various duty posts. He emphasized the importance of alertness, discipline, and people-friendly policing during the festive period to ensure peace and harmony.

On this occasion, DIG Shri Naik inaugurated the newly established Command and Control Centre, which is equipped with 32 AI-based CCTV cameras integrated with face detection and crowd heat map features. This advanced surveillance system will enable real-time monitoring of crowd density, traffic flow, and public movement to strengthen overall security and ensure timely intervention in case of any emergency.
He also visited various Medhas (pandals), interacted with the Secretaries and Presidents of different Puja Committees, and appealed to them to cooperate with the police administration in maintaining law and order and ensuring a smooth, safe, and peaceful celebration of Gajalaxmi Puja.
The DIG appreciated the efforts of Kendrapara Police under the leadership of SP Kendrapara Shri Siddharth Kataria, IPS, for their meticulous preparation, proactive planning, and effective coordination with all stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the citizens during the festive days.

In his message to the public, DIG Shri Naik stated,
