Ex-MLA of PTI urges to take asylum in India

(Reporters Today, Bhubaneswar): A former MLA of Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party PTI attempts to seek asylum in India following the wrongful treatment of the minorities in Pakistan. Baldev Kumar, the former MLA of Barikot arrived in India on Monday with his family. The 43 year old will not return his country again, as he says minorities in Pakistan are badly treated. Hindus, Sikhs even Muslims are being murdered in a daily basis. Everything is being done by Pak Army. There is nothing with Imran Khan, he added.

In 2016, a sitting MLA from his constituency was assassinated. Baldev was charged with a false murder case and acquitted in 2018.
