Encounter in Puri, Murder accused Chandan Palar injured

Puri: A man accused of murdering a hotel owner was injured in Police encounter in Puri on Wednesday morning.

The accused has been identified as Chandan Palar. In the encounter, the Baliapanda police hit his left leg. He was immediately overpowered and rushed to Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment. Later, after his health condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Cuttack SCB College and Hospital for treatment.

Yesterday, a hotel owner identified as Pabitra Nayak was allegedly murdered in a gruesome incident in the Baliapanda area of Puri late night. He was the owner of the hotel Manorama in Puri.Nayak was found dead under suspicious circumstances.

Upon receiving information, Baliapanda Police reached the spot and began a detailed probe into the incident. Investigators examined the CCTV footage from the area and collected evidence to identify those responsible for the crime.
