ED raids at sand mafia Hrushikesh Padhi residence

Berhampur: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted searches at multiple premises linked to sand mafia Hrushikesh Padhi in Ganjam as part of an investigation into allegations of disproportionate assets.

Around three ED teams conducted raids early in the morning at Padhi’s ancestral house in Sheragada. Simultaneously, searches were also underway at his son’s residence in Jayaprakash Nagar in Berhampur, while another raid was reported at the time of filing this report at a premises in Gandhi Nagar area of Berhampur.

The searches are linked to allegations that Padhi amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
