Droupadi Murmu files nomination for Prez poll

New Delhi, June 24(Reporters Today Bureau): Droupadi Murmu, the candidate fieled by NDA for presidential election Friday filed her nomination here.

She filed four sets of  nomination papers.

In the first set her name has been proposed by several senior BJP leaders, including its national president JP Nadda.

Murmu was accompanied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of Union Ministers including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and Surface Trasport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Odisha’s two ministers—Tukuni Sahoo and Jagannath Sarka and MP Dr Sasmit Patra also accompanied Murmu as directed Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik.
