Domestic Help Found Dead at Odisha Minister’s Official Residence in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A 46-year-old domestic help was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the official residence of Odisha’s Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister, Krushna Chandra Patra, in Bhubaneswar.

The deceased has been identified as Shankarshan Nag (46), a native of Belpada area in Balangir district. According to reports, Nag had been working for the Minister’s family for several months and was residing on the premises of the official residence.

On Thursday, other staff members discovered Nag lying unconscious inside a room and immediately rushed him to Capital Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause. While preliminary inquiry indicates possible electrocution, officials stated that the precise reason behind the death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination report is received.

Further investigation is underway.
