Doctor prescribes anti-rabies medicine to child for fever

Bonai: Tension gripped the Bonai hospital in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Thursday morning after it was discovered that a doctor had prescribed an anti-rabies injection to a 4-year-old child suffering from fever. A complaint was subsequently filed by the hospital.
According to the complaint, the child was brought to the hospital with fever, but the doctor allegedly prescribed an anti-rabies injection.
When the child’s father went to purchase the medicine, the shopkeeper questioned whether the child had been bitten by a dog.
After the child’s relatives denied this, they discovered the nature of the prescribed medication.
When questioned about the prescription, the doctor reportedly tore it up. The incident sparked a commotion, leading the hospital to file a complaint.
