Dharmasala MLA Donates ₹5 Lakh for Toddler’s SMA Treatment

Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahu has donated ₹5 lakh from his salary towards the treatment of 16-month-old Trisika, who is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type-2, a serious neurological disorder.

Trisika’s treatment is estimated to cost around ₹16 crore, placing a huge financial burden on her family. Several individuals and social organisations have also extended support to help raise the required funds.

Appealing to the people of Dharmasala, Jajpur and Odisha, Sahu said, “I have contributed as much as possible from my salary. I appeal to everyone to extend whatever assistance they can. Even a small contribution from each of you can help save this little girl’s life.”

The family continues to seek financial assistance to meet the enormous cost of Trisika’s treatment.
