‘Destination Wedding Package’ now in Odisha

Reporters Today: Wedding is one event that every couple wants to celebrate in the most special way possible and with that in mind, majority of the couples are today, heading for destination weddings, and when we are talking about destination weddings, beach & island weddings are something that need special mention.

Now Beachside Destination Wedding will also become a reality in Odisha as Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has launched‘Destination Wedding Package’scheme for people of the state and outside. From Sangeet, Mehndi to marriage ceremony, the ‘Destination Wedding Package’ has it all.

The corporation has signed an agreement with online travel portals like Make My Trip, Goibibo and Yatra to help people book rooms at Panthanivas.

OTDC Chairman Shreemayee Mishra informed the Destination Wedding Package starts at Rs 2,17, 500. Under the package, 25 rooms would be made available for 50 guests along with services like meals, snacks, breakfasts, mineral water and main wedding meal.

Apart from this people will have to pay additional Rs 2,57,500 for services like basic decoration (Rs 80,000), flower decoration (Rs 40,000), rituals (Rs 12,500), beautician (Rs 20,000), Mehndi (Rs 10,000), cultural programme (Rs 25,000), videography (Rs 30,000) and transport for two days for local sightseeing (Rs 40,000).

The scheme will be available at six Panthanivas in Puri, Gopalpur, Rambha, Konark, Chandipur and Barkul in first phase. The scheme would later be extended to other Panthanivas of the state.

Mishra also informed that, the OTDC would offer free accommodation of two nights and three days in any of the Panthanivas to the newly-wed couple as a honeymoon package and also on their first marriage anniversary.
