Depression Weakens, Heavy Rain Likely Over Odisha Till August 14

Bhubaneswar, Aug 10(Reporters Today Bureau):The Depression over interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh moved west-northwestwards and weakened into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area at 05.30 am Monday over Chhattisgarh and adjoining cast Madhya Pradesh.

According the India Meteorological Department, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and gradually weaken into a low pressure area during the next 24 hours.

Under the influence of the above system, fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm, and lightning is very likely over Odisha during August 10 to 14, it said.

Isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over Odisha on August 10, 13, and 14, it added.
