Dense fog envelops Shimandir

Puri: The Nilachakra and Shri Jagannath temple have become invisible behind dense fog in Puri of Odisha today. The density of this fog is so high that the temple is not visible even from a close distance.

Similarly, visibility is quite low on the Bada Danda, the grand road of the holy city, affecting daily activities.

Weather experts attribute the fog to high moisture levels and calm wind conditions, despite a marginal rise in minimum temperatures due to a western disturbance. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts similar foggy conditions over the next few days, especially during early mornings and late nights.

The fog has caused traffic snarls, with motorists navigating cautiously through the affected areas.
