Dense Fog Disrupts Transport in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Dense fog blanketed many parts of Odisha this morning, significantly affecting vehicular movement across the state. Visibility dropped to as low as 10 to 50 meters in some areas, causing inconvenience to commuters.
The Meteorological Center has issued a dense fog warning for four districts, prompting the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to direct all district collectors to remain vigilant.

In addition to the fog, Odisha is experiencing fluctuating weather patterns. While the cold wave conditions are easing, minimum temperatures in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack have been recorded at 14.4°C and 14.8°C, respectively. The weather department predicts that night temperatures in the twin cities will hover between 14°C and 15°C over the next week.
Interestingly, some regions, like Koraput, are experiencing summer-like conditions even in winter. Yesterday, Koraput recorded the state’s highest temperature at 33°C.
The Regional Meteorological Center has forecasted dry weather across Odisha for the next seven days, with a potential rise in minimum temperatures by up to 4°C.
