Delhi Tightens Security Ahead of Opposition March

Delhi has stepped up security arrangements ahead of an opposition-led protest march scheduled for this afternoon, with traffic restrictions and Metro station closures expected to affect commuters.
The Delhi Metro’s entry and exit gates at six stations will remain shut until 4 PM as a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police has warned of congestion on several major roads and urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.

Motorists have been advised to avoid affected routes unless necessary, follow traffic diversions and comply with instructions issued by traffic personnel. Commuters have also been asked to allow extra time for their journeys.

Security has been reinforced at key locations across the capital, including border points, railway stations, bus terminals and other sensitive areas. Authorities are taking precautionary measures to prevent unauthorised gatherings and maintain law and order during the opposition’s march.
