Cyclonic circulation over Odisha likely on Aug 13

Bhubaneswar: Another cyclonic circulation over Odisha is likely said reports. On August 13, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal adjacent to Odisha or some parts south of it.

This is likely to turn into a low pressure in the next 24 to 48 hours. Due to this, there may be rain in the state till August 17. There may be moderate rain in central Odisha and the Southern coast. Similarly, the Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be heavy rain in western and south Odisha.

On the other hand, a yellow warning has been issued for 20 districts today and tomorrow. Thunderstorms and winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour may be experienced.

A yellow alert has been issued for Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts for heavy rain. Further, a yellow alert has been issued for 20 districts on the August 7. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall in five districts namely Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
