Cyclone Yaas: Makes Landfall Around Bahanaga

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): In the north of Dhamra and south of Balasore around Bahanaga block coast severe cyclonic storm Yaas made its landfall at 9 am informed Pradeep Kumar Jena, Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC)

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said “Wind speed reaching 130-140 kmph gusting to 155 kmph along & off Bhadrak and Balasore, and 100-110 kmph gusting to 120 kmph along & off Kendrapara likely during landfall”.

By evening Wind speed will reduce gradually after landfall becoming 65-75 kmph gusting to 85 kmph, added IMD.
