Cuttack Witnessed Lathi-Charge During Shutdown

Cuttack (Pramit Pramathes): People of a particular area of the ex-capital have pelted stones at cops in Kesharpur today during the shutdown for Corona containment.

According to reports, some shutdown violators pelted stones at the cops following which police resorted to lathi-charge to bring the situation under control.

As many as 15 persons have been arrested by commissionerate police in this regard. On being informed, Cuttack DCP Akhilesvar Singh reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Two platoons of police force have been deployed in the locality to avoid any further untoward incident.
