Cuttack Station Redevelopment: Three Long-Distance Trains Diverted for 40 Days

Bhubaneswar: Redevelopment work at Cuttack Railway Station under the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) will lead to the diversion of three long-distance trains for 40 days, from August 11 to September 21.
The station is undergoing major upgrades, including construction of an air concourse grid, granite platform flooring, installation of precast coping blocks, replacement of platform shelters and roofing sheets, pile foundation and steel columns for the air concourse, and other safety-related modernization works.
During this period, the following trains will skip Cuttack Station and instead halt at Naraj Marthapur:
- Coimbatore–Silchar Weekly Superfast Express (12515)
- Ernakulam–Patna Bi-Weekly Express (22643)
- Bengaluru–Guwahati Tri-Weekly Express (12509)
All three will arrive at Naraj Marthapur at 02:35 hrs and depart at 02:37 hrs during the diversion period. The diverted route will be Barang–Naraj Marthapur–Kapilas Road instead of Barang–Cuttack–Kapilas Road.
ECoR said the redevelopment project aims to enhance passenger amenities and transform Cuttack into a premier rail hub in the region.
