Cuttack: All govt offices to remain opened

Cuttack: All government offices across Cuttack district will remain opened tomorrow as the District Magistrate cancelled holiday in view of the heavy rain forecast by the weather department, informed the Collector’s office.

In view of the emergency situation due to the possibility of heavy to very heavy rains and waterlogging, all government offices in Cuttack district will remain open tomorrow. Usually , the offices remain closes on every fourth Saturday of a month.

The District Collector also has directed all officers and employees of the district to be present at their respective headquarters, if not they would face disciplinary action.

The Bhubaneswar-based regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Cuttack district. It has issued a yellow warning for the same.
